Benefits to the Financial Future of Flemington

  • The Borough of Flemington is estimated to receive Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) that average $694,000 annually, or a total of $20.8 million dollars over a 30-year period. These payments are based on an independent report prepared by the Otteau Group.

  • Many businesses on Main Street have suffered financially for years and this project will provide much needed foot traffic and tourism.

  • This project will be a job creator. Upon project completion, 611 full and part-time jobs in Hunterdon County will be created producing approximately $29 million in labor income. During construction this project will create a total of 700 temporary jobs contributing approximately $49 million in labor income.

  • This project will be the catalyst to spur additional investment and development throughput the borough and surrounding area.

Preservation Benefits

  • Both the Union Hotel and Hunterdon County Bank Building exteriors are being preserved to their original glory.

  • This project will bring the Union Hotel and Hunterdon Bank Buildings back to life after having been vacant for far too many years.
